object: News from NZ

Hi Eva,

It's nice to hear from you.

Me too, I look forward that you arrive in NZ for the RWC.

Have you already bought your ticket for the final ? I'm going to buy mine in the coming days.

I'm so excited !! I hope NZ will win ! I know you support the NZ team as well.

My parents are agree to take us to Auckland, and visit the town.

I know you are fond of Maori Culture and Arts. We can visit one or two Maori Settlements as well around Auckland. You will enjoy the place: it's more rural than the South, and it's most advanturous.

Let me know at what time you arrive exactly on Friday, 21th at Auckland Airport. I'll be there with my mum.

What are you doing for Christmas holidays ? Me, I go and visit my family in the South Island.

We keep in touch.

Take care. Lots of hugs.

xxx

Emily Brown.

Now, speaking rugby

Among the Rugby World teams there are the New Zealanders: The All Blacks     The silver fern is the iconic emblem of NZ.450

In NZ, the rugby is the national sport. The All Blacks are the leading points scores of all time and the only international rugby team with a winning record against every test nation they have ever played.

The New Zealander players wear a all black uniform.

The team traditionnally perform a Haka before each match.

Click on th eye for look at the Haka's video:

In my opinion the Haka is rather offensive. Indeed the rugby team has brutal movements and the expression of the faces looks agressive. It's very impressive when the players slap the hands against the thights. There is an interesting constrast between the Haka dance and some of the lyrics of the song, which are rather poetic. The New Zealanders aim to frighten the opponents who could be upset.

Hi, dear user

Thanks for visiting my blog. I suppose you're much interested in the Rugby World Cup, but let's first talk about the New Zealand's culture.

1. THE MAORI TRADITION:

If you want to discover the Maori culture, there is a place you must see, the North Island (te ika-a-maui) where the majority of indegenous Maori populayion lives. They represent 14% of the country's population.

The Maori sovereignty flag. The colors of the Maori Nation are the red, white and black.            maori_flag

The Maori language "Te reo Maori" is the native language which is related to Hawaiian and Tahitian.

Maori culture is rich, varied and includes traditional and contemporary arts:

-carving V

-weaving DSCF1936

-kapa haka maori

-moko moko_3_360

-vohaikorero Whaikorero_front

2. The other New Zealand:

New Zealand it's also a vast countryside, small towns, and great outdoors: In NZ you will find the most beautiful and untouched national park with unforgettable landscapes.
